Track Riding at HPR!
September 18 @ 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
September 18th is already starting to get loaded with riders chomping at the bit to ride so shoot me a note if you can join us.
Our Service Department can help get you ready as well. For $128, they will flush your coolant, add Water Wetter, inspect the bike, service your chain, and set your suspension. Call today to get an appointment on the schedule.
-As usual, we will have great food and tons of riding time. We will concentrate on riding time, riding time, riding time.
-We will not have a day-long classroom course but will spend time bringing everyone up to speed on the proper way to make sure you have a blast on the closed course and learn the ins and outs of what you and your bike are capable of. We’ll also have a tool box so we can discuss and play with suspension settings.
-Newbies: If you have never been on a closed course, don’t worry. We will give basic “101” instruction. Don’t be nerved up, this is just like a street ride with no obstacles, gravel, cars, or cops (no racers either). If you have been out before and want tips on smoothing out your riding, we will provide advanced coaching.
-Location: High Plains Raceway. Hwy 36 – 17 miles East of the Byers Exit on I-70. The track is exactly 1 hour from Erico heading East on I-70, exit at Byers. Turn left and head 17 miles further East.
-Time: Be at the track ready to go at 8:00am (bfast stuff will be there prior).
-Your Body: You will need leather. Two-piece zip-together is ok but textile is not. Full face helmet, proper gloves with gauntlet, back protector. Boots need to cover your ankles.
-Your Bike: No antifreeze, all liquid cooled bikes will need to have glycol coolant replaced with water or water-wetter. Sidestands are ok; lights and mirrors need to be taped with painter’s tape. Our Service Department can prep your bike. Call for an appointment. Tires to be in acceptable condition. If you want, ride it by the store and we’ll take a look together.
-Your Stuff: Gas is available at the track (but cheaper if you bring it along). I will bring everything else.
-Cost is $325.
Email me at the store to grab your spot right away as I have put a cap on the amount of riders we put on the track. As always, email me with any questions you may have and I will make sure we all have a blast doing what was intended with these awesome 2-wheeled machines. John@EricoMotorsports.com
And be sure to join us for an “in shop” chat on Friday Sept 15th to prime us all for the track!
